Pete's Meteor is a 2002 Irish drama directed by Joe O'Byrne. In the film, Pete (Mike Myers) is a desperate drug addict living in Dublin. He is currently on the run from the Irish mob who want him dead. To make matters worse, his best friends are killed and Pete feels obligated to see to their two children, Micky (Ian Costello) and Sue (Natasha Corcoran). The children are currently living with their grandmother (Brenda Fricker) and seem to be doing well. People who love the two orphans often remind them that their parents are watching them from heaven. So when a huge meteor crashes down in their backyard the children immediately think it is a gift for them from their deceased parents in heaven. Unfortunately, a scientist, Huge (Alfred Molina), quickly arrives and takes the meteor away to his lab.
