The Beaches of Agn''s is a documentary filmed by Agn''s Varda. The documentary, which is an autobiographical portrait, chronicles the artistic life of the director Agn''s Varda. The documentary starts in a beach in Belgium (hence the name) where the protagonist starts recalling, with the help of a mirror, what she went through during her rich and eventful artistic life. The documentary is mounted as a series of pictures, short footage, interviews with her collaborators, friends, relatives and actors, giving little to no space to her private life outside the set. A self-celebration and an artistic manifesto to be left to the world that will come, The Beaches of Agn''s tries to chronologically walk together with the spectator through the artistic production of the French director, celebrating the joie the vivre and the spirit of adventure the sea inspires to humankind, since the times of Ulysses.

Oddball mix that may strike some as overly whimsical but should delight the filmmaker's many fans.
