The Forgotten is a chilling psychological thriller about one woman's fight to convince the world about the truth behind her son's death and existence. The film was written by Gerald Di Pego, directed by Joseph Ruben, and stars Julianne Moore. Telly Paretta (Julianne Moore) is haunted by the death of her eight year old son Sam who died in a wretched plane crash fourteen months ago. She enlists the help of an esteemed psychiatrist, Dr. Jack Munce (Gary Sinise), to cope with her loss. However, Dr. Munce tells her that her memories of Sam are just a fabrication of her imagination - Sam never really existed. Recognizing the extremity of her case, Dr. Munce suggests she remains under hospital supervision. Terry escapes his hold and meets a man named Ash (Dominic West) who has an experience similar to hers. The question of who is right and what is reality persists throughout the entire film, and as an effect, will leave you guessing at the edge of your seat until the very last minute.moreless
