Westworld is a movie that combines a western with science fiction. This thriller stars Yul Brynner as an evil android simply known as the Gunslinger. James Brolin plays the good guy, John Blane. Richard Benjamin plays Blane's friend, Peter Martin. The movie was penned and directed by Michael Crichton, the writer for Jurassic Park and Rising Sun. Blane and Martin take a vacation at an adult theme park that is staffed by very realistic androids. The guests can do whatever they want. Blane and Martin start off in a medieval section of the park, but one of the several androids malfunction, eventually killing someone. They end up in the cowboy/western part of the park, where the Gunslinger tries to track them down and kill them. Blane and Martin try to escape, but the Gunslinger keeps following them. After many battles, Blane and Brynner have a showdown in the park's central control station.
