  • Possible major error in "Ordinary People"

I'm so confused... in "Klaus," Elijah says that sunlight cannot kill an original. And then in "Ordinary People," Rebekah says that the sun is their enemy and is seen getting burned. Help?

Underrated and becoming one of my favorites!

    hide show

This show is quickly becoming one of my favorites on TV. Although many people are growing weary of the vampire fad, I have to say that the story writing and incisive plot twists make this great show stick out among the multitude of recycled garbage out there.

Although the target audience of this show is predominantly teenagers, this drama can be enjoyed by the masses of young adults and beyond - assuming you can look past the high school setting.

If you've never watched this show I only have one forewarning for you: please reserve your judgement until you've seen at least the third and fourth episodes! Many people have said that the pilot and even the second episode reminded them way too much of the proverbial Twilight series.

At any rate, I strongly recommend this series to anyone looking for excellent drama, romance, action and even a little humor!

I blame my mom for getting me hooked onto the show. I had originally said i wasn't going to get into the show because I had missed the series premiere way back in the 1st season. That didnt last long. When the season 1 dvds came out i bought it. And when the season 2 dvds came out i bought those. I am finally watching The Vampire Diaries on tv when it originally airs on tv. It is so much better that way. I am telling you, I can't un hook myself. I love this show. It has so much suspense and action and to make it all better they add a touch of love and romance like all tv dramas. It is the perfect combination. I will definitely continue watching this show until its time is up. :) Go vampire Diaries. you are awesome!!!!

writer kevin williamson (dawsons creek) is doing everything he can to destroy everything i love about vampires into a "insert teen drama here" cliche of a show.

breaking so many vampire doctrines that dracula is turning in his grave.

the dialogue is at best...sadly funny.

favourite moment is actually in the pilot.

when stefan turns to elena and says... "i was never good at ... chit chat" seriously dude...never would have guessed that after a century of bloodsucking...thats the best you can come up with.

at least everybody looks beautiful. project run away with teeth

I love how each episode ends in a cliffhanger, which keeps you waiting for the next episode. I also like the fact even though this show is in its third season it still has a great story line. The show always keeps me guessing with all its twists and turns.

As a grown man who sneers at the Twilight generation, I am stunned, shocked, bewildered. This show is brilliance nonpareil, an underestimated gem in the TV landscape, and this episode hammered that home in spades.

I mean, holy frakking expletive. By what right does this DevelopmentallyDelayed-titled CW twilightsploitation bullexpletive have being SO DAMN GOOD?!?! Brilliant, multilayered, intelligent plotting; lovable, believable, consistent characters; dogged adherence to continuity and fascinating world-building; steady, encyclopedic, well-paced delivery of a smartly conceived mythos; regular "I shoulda seen that coming, but I didn't, because the show's smarter than I am" twists---on an episode-to-episode basis... I have more mindgasms each episode watching this than I ever had watching LOST... hell, even BSG. Judge me on this, I dare you. I frakkin' dare you :P
