The
Bengal Tennis Association is the governing body of
West Bengal's Lawn Tennis activities. West Bengal has always been a super power among India's tennis playing states. Winner of several National Tennis Championships, Bengal has produced many wonderful players like Akhtar Ali, Joydeep Mukherjee, Jishan Ali, Leander Paes etc.

Some of the well-known names that these academies have produced are Sarav Panja, Rupesh Roy etc. Under the able guidance of the B.T.A or the Bengal Tennis Association, the clubs and academies maintain good infrastructure and tennis courts. The present secretary of the B.T.A is Mr. Hironmoy Chaterjee.
