Host Cindy Piccoli demonstrates two methods of making ordinary poster prints look like vintage masterpieces using simple methods.
Unique Crumpled Look
Materials:
poster print
Mod Podge
brown acrylic paint
sponge brush
lint-free cloth
Steps:
- Crumple print into a wad being careful not to tear the edges. Smooth out onto a flat surface.
- Create a mixture of one part Mod Podge to three parts brown acrylic paint and brush onto poster. With a cloth, rub paint mixture into cracks and crevices and wipe off excess. Repeat this process several times allowing paint mixture to dry between applications.
- Seal with several applications of Mod Podge alone.
Brush Strokes Materials:
Crafter's Pick Brush Strokes
artist's brush
poster print
Steps:
- Load brush with brush strokes medium and paint over original artist's strokes. This medium will go on white but dries clear.
- Two or three applications may be necessary for desired dimension.
