Great Faux Leather Designer Jacquelin Quarles-McCoy says that raised wallpaper is great for creating a faux-leather look (see photo) for furniture, especially flea-market finds that are too damaged to refinish.
Simply apply the textured wallpaper to the surface as directed, let dry, then stain with a gel stain. Gently wipe off the excess with a damp sponge.
