Wait a second!  [insert sound of Todd scratching head and counting on his fingers].  Holy crap!  It’s a sequel to G.O.R.A. - how on earth did I not know this was coming!?!

Comedian Cem Yilmaz is easily one of the biggest things going in Turkey’s entertainment world, a huge star who caused an improbable stir internationally with G.O.R.A. a very funny, very Mel Brooks inspired sci fi comedy that re-introduced Turkish genre film to international audiences as it rolled out on the festival circuit and proved that the land that once made cheap knock offs of American properties with little more than card board and tin foil - and I’m not exaggerating even a little bit, there - was capable of producing big, glossy productions with the very best of them.  Seriously, this thing looked good and went on to become a huge hit in its native country.  So, sure, I shouldn’t be surprised that Yilmaz is back with a sequel and given the general lack of decent coming-soon type info out there in any language I can even pretend to speak I probably shouldn’t even be surprised I haven’t noticed it so far, but I haven’t and I am.

Anyway ... the new film is titled A.R.O.G. and the first three minutes - looking every bit as good as the original film - are now available online.  You’ll find the clip embedded below the break in the Twitch Player.  Aww, aint alien babies cute?
