New England Interfaith Council

The American Islamic Congress promotes the exchange of ideas among Muslims and between other peoples via its New England Interfaith Council. Comprised of outstanding individuals from diverse backgrounds, the Interfaith Council organizes and participates in civic events advancing inter-religious understanding.

The Council embodies responsible Muslim civic leadership through open dialogue and stereotype-defying programs, eschewing theological rulings and political statements. With religious tensions spiking around the world, we hope to provide a positive example of peaceful co-existence here in New England.

Our first civic project is the 2008 Boston Muslim Film Festival.
