A record 12,500 votes were cast for Town's new home shirt for 2007-09 with the pin-striped version (Shirt 3) finishing top.

Supporters voted online, by phone or text and in Planet Blue stores before the December 2nd deadline and despite a very close run race in the early days of the vote, Shirt 3 eventually emerged as the clear winner.

The three designs were developed by the Club's retail team in conjunction with new kit partner Mitre and Town players and coaching staff were involved at all stages of development.

Winner - shirt 3

The design team will now undertake further work on the sample that was produced for the vote with Elaine Hull, Town's Head of Retail saying: "We had a terrific response from fans and the number of votes was an all-time record.

"We're looking forward to working with the team at Mitre to produce what will be a fantastic kit for next season. Each of the samples were, as always, prototypes - the winning shirt, for example, had the pinstripe printed on to the fabric rather than woven into it. We will now work with Mitre on final fabric selection and on refining the design detail."

Town's retail team are also working with Mitre on an exciting range of training and benchwear for next season as well as a new goalkeeper strip.

The new shirt will be available to pre-order from 10th February 2007, for collection from the 28th April 2007.
