Unfortunately, there will be no birthday book due to lack of submissions. I will include the two messages I did get along int he letter I'm sending, but other than that, there will be nothing else. Well, there may be a little something on the site.

Also, Go sign up at the message board!!! Want to promote your site? Ask a questiona bout Alex? Get some art made for a signature? Icon for LJ? GO THERE! It's pretty empty and barren but ony because I seem to be the only one posting. Things will get more interesting when people start, you know, PARTICIPATING!

Information about Alex's Dr. Who character has been released. She will be playing a astronaut-archaeologist called Professor River Song.

Ok, I've decided to reorganize the gallery. So, expect some jumping around of htings, down time and missing pictures. There are 500+ pictures in the gallery and I've been downloading more, so I estimate that I'm working withnear 800 files. Bare with me.

Also, with in the next week or so I'm going to start asking people to send in their birthday book contributions. As it is, it looks like Alex will be getting a a letter from me, and maybe 2 other things from two other people. A sad showing, if I do say so myself. I know how many of you have registered for hte gallery, so I know fans are out there. You don't have to ake something big, you don't have to make anything at all. Send a note! "Hey Alex, just wanted to let you know that i really love your work! Your fan, Name Signed Here" That's all I'm looking for. So, drop a line on the message board, leave something in the tag box, email me, whatever. Get it too me, signed or anonymous and I will pass it along!!

Just a reminder about the birthday book. So far I have two people who are for sure going to send me something, so, GET SOMETHING IN! Even if it's just a little "Hey, been a fan since ER. Love your work!" It doesn't have to be fancy, you can even sign it anon if you want to.

Also, be on the look out for some new HQ images to show up in the gallery soon. Well, they're not new-new, but they are HQ's of some of hte smaller pictures in the gallery.

British actors Alex Kingston and Colin Salmon are set to star in the next series of Doctor Who.

Alex said: "I used to watch Doctor Who through the crack in the door. I was so terrified but I couldn't tear myself away. I loved it so much and I'm so delighted to be a part of the new series."

I've added 4 new, semi-recent Alex photos. They're HQ and EXCLUSIVE pics so they are register to see. And yes, I went through the gallery and now all the HQ pics really are register to see. These photos are courtesey of Sam Hughes who was lucky enough to see Alex in a performance ove One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and she got to snap some shots at the stage door.

I have also updated the filmography page and the credit page to thank Sam for the photos.

So, after much thought, I've decided to see if there is enoug interest in this site to put together a birthday scrapbook type of thing and send it off to Alex. This would be an "wow! We love your work!" type of thing as well as a "Hey, look! A WHOLE fansite dedicated JUST TO YOU!!".

Alex's birthday is in early March, the 11th of March to be exact so I would want to be able to send this book out the second last week in Feb. This gives us about a month to get stuff together. So, what do I want from you fine people?
*Graphic art
*A fan letter
*Anything else you can think of!

Get them created, get them pretty and then SEND THEM TO ME! I'll let you guys know about a solid cut off date in the future.

If I don't get enough response, well, I'm still going to let her know, finally, that this site exists.

Ok, so, the site has a new layout. YAY!! I swear that this time, I will change the layout in the gallery as well. I've also added a message board, jsut to spice things up. I'm also looking for anyone who can program a skin for the board. My CSS skills are shotty at best, so, yeah. Email me if you can help.

I have found one, low quality image of Alex on set filming Lost in Austen. It's now in the gallery.  Also, I'm on Christmas vacation now, so expect some actual, you know, updates and what not. Maybe even a new layout depending on how productive I am.

Hollywood actress Alex Kingston, of ER and Without A Trace fame, will be among the stars filming in Nun Monkton for ITV's forthcoming modern adaptation of the Jane Austen novel Pride And Prejudice.

I haven't heard any news about how the writers strike is affecting production on movies or mini series.  SAG (The Screen Actors Guild) seems to be supporting the writers strike and has shut down production. I have no idea if this is going on with SAG members working in other countries. If this is the case, it is possible that production on Alex's projects has stopped.

Only time will tell, I suppose.

Celebrity Link Sweet!

In honour of this, I have a new layout up on the main site, version 13 Roller Derby. The images are from a late 90's spread Alex did in a UK magazine called YOU. The images are (I hope) up in the gallery. I was planning on doing a new layout for the Elizabeth Corday mini-site, but Real Life seems to have gotten in the way. I might still find the time though, DON'T LOSE HOPE!!!

Well, another large picture update. I have finally broken 500 uploaded pictures and I am quite proud. Compared to many (Re: most) celebrities, Alex is fairly illusive and doesn't attend a lot of high profile events, so, YAY!

Screen caps are coming, starting with ER because I have those DVD's. I'm having issues with the screen caping program I'm using, so that's why they're not up yet.

Anyways, as always, you must register in the gallery to see the HQ images and I'm always looking for affiliates.

On a personal notes: October is Breast Cancer month. Raise some awareness, donate some money or do some fundraising. Every knows someone, knows of some one, or will be personally affected by Breast Cancer.

Sorry for the delays in updating. As I've said before, I'm on dialysis and back in school full time and the stress from school is taking it's toll on me. Yes, I have TOTALLY rediscovered the glory that is the afternoon nap, so, after that has happened so I can, you know, function on a human level, I have home work and after that, there isn't a lot of time left for updating.

So, I am going to try my hardest to get at least a few pictures and the first piece of fan art up this weekend. I'm also going to try and get at least a few pictures up every weekend.

I'm also considering the possibilities of using this site to do some charity fund raising, both for charities I believe in and those that Alex has supported in the past. I have to check the rules and regulations, see if this is acceptable.

While I have known about the wealth of HQ Alex Kingston pictures that are available on the internet, I have finally decided to do something about trying to get a hold of them.

So, here's my plan. I have added an allposters.com banner and every time you click on it and order something from them, I get a percentage of the cost of your order. ALL of the funds generated by this will go directly into purchasing memberships at sites like WireImage so, if you really want more HQ images, take the time to buy a little something from allposters.com

OK, so, I fixed the HQ image problem. Here's the catch kids, they're for REGISTERED USERS ONLY! So, that means that if you want to see the pretties, you have to register in the gallery. The galleries are also pass word protected. Email me and I'll send you the pass word. Yes, the little tiny thumb nails are there to tease you. Never mind. All you have to do is register. Oops.

Well, here it is, the new site and, hopefully, the final home of Absolutely Alex! I had enough of freehostia.com's constant down time and was fortunate enough to get hosted at the ever fabulous fan-sites.org!

Since the site is still going up (and will be over the next two weeks) expect some down pages and perhaps some down links. Iw ill also try to have the gallery up as soon as possible!
