THE ONE AM RADIO SIGN TO DANGERBIRD; NEW ALBUM IN JANUARY

The one-man indie-electronica band the One AM Radio have signed with California label Dangerbird Records. They will release the group's new album, This Too Will Pass, on Jan. 30, 2007. The new album was recorded over the last two years in bedrooms in Mumbai, India; Peabody, Massachusetts; and Los Angeles. A new song off the disc, "Lest I Forget," can be streamed at their MySpace page; the cover art can be seen below:

A STATIC LULLABY POST COVER OF FROU FROU'S "LET GO"

Screamo-rock act A Static Lullaby have unveiled their cover of "Let Go," originally by Frou Frou and made popular by the Garden State soundtrack. "We picked this song because it is one of the bands' favorite songs," says guitarist Dan Arnold. "We figured out how to play it one night and decided to cover it. We felt that the riff in the chorus of the song really stood out when played heavy." You can hear the cover at the band's MySpace and PureVolume pages.

TRAIL OF DEAD POST FULL-ALBUM STREAM FOR SO DIVIDED

Texas avant-rockers ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead have posted online a full-album stream of their upcoming fifth album, So Divided, out Nov. 14 on Interscope (details). You can stream the 11-track album in full at this link.

The band will be on a co-headlining tour this fall with the Blood Brothers (dates).

THE LOVEKILL CONFIRM FINAL SHOWS OF 2006 WITH NAKATOMI PLAZA

Cleveland post-hardcore/rock quartet the Lovekill have posted the final trio of shows they will be playing in 2006 in support of their full-length debut, These Moments Are Momentum, out now on Astro Magnetics. Accompanying them on all three are Nakatomi Plaza, with a variety of openers. Dates:

BLOC PARTY DRUMMER SUFFERS COLLAPSED LUNG; CANCEL SHOWS

English post-punk quartet Bloc Party have been forced to drop off the next four dates of their current arena tour with Panic! At The Disco and Jack's Mannequin due to their drummer, Matt Tong, suffering a collapsed lung after last night's show in Atlanta. The band posted the following statement on their website:
"Doctors at the hospital in Atlanta say Matt is in a comfortable condition and not in any danger, he will however be staying in hospital for at least the next three days for observation and it's not clear at this stage when Matt will be fit to resume performing."
The band are no longer on the bill in Charlotte, North Carolina; Fairfax, Virginia; and both New York City shows. There is no definite word on if the band will rejoin the tour after that.

LAWRENCE ARMS' CHRIS MCCAUGHAN RELEASING SOLO LP IN MARCH

Red Scare Records has announced that Lawrence Arms co-frontman Chris McCaughan will be recording his solo debut for the label this January with fellow Lawrence Arms bandmate Neil Hennessey producing. The label reports that "the project is going to feature a collection of musicians bolstering his songs (cello, keys, etc) and the occasional stripped-down version of a Lawrence Arms original." The label plans to release the disc in March; you can currently hear four demos at McCaughan's MySpace page.
