Highlights

ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball Presented by Taco Bell will feature the St. Louis Cardinals and Albert Pujols hosting NL Central division rival Chicago Cubs and Derrek Lee on Sunday, May 4, at 8 p.m. ET.  Jon Miller and Hall of Famer Joe Morgan will provide commentary with baseball insider Peter Gammons.  Gary Thorne will call the game with analyst Dave Campbell on ESPN Radio, while Ernesto Jerez and Candy Maldonado will team with reporter Guillermo Celis on ESPN Deportes.  All MLB telecasts are available in high definition on ESPN HD.  Baseball Tonight will preview the game at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Kentucky Derby Coverage

ESPN’s coverage of the Kentucky Derby will include the Kentucky Derby Draw on Wednesday, April 30, at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 2, at 5 p.m. on ESPN2. Hosts Kenny Mayne and Rece Davis, analysts Jerry Bailey, Randy Moss and Jeannine Edwards, handicapper Hank Goldberg and reporters Jay Privman and Steve Cyphers will cover the stories, horses, jockeys, trainers and owners.

ESPNEWS: College Football Hall of Fame Announcement

On Thursday, May 1, at noon, ESPNEWS will air live the announcement of the class of 2008 for the College Football Hall of Fame. John Saunders will host the proceedings from New York with National Football Foundation (NFF) Chairman Archie Manning and NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. Seventy-five players and eight coaches are finalists, with the 12,000 NFF members and Hall of Famers voting.  Of the 4.6 million individuals who have played college football, only 829 players have earned induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.  From the coaching ranks, 178 individuals have achieved the distinction.

NASCAR Nationwide Series Live in Prime Time

NASCAR drivers and fans consider Richmond International Raceway one of the most competitive tracks in the sport, and racing on the .750-mile track takes on even more excitement at night under the lights.  ESPN2 will have a live, prime-time telecast as the NASCAR Nationwide Series races at Richmond Friday night, May 2, beginning at 7 p.m. with NASCAR Countdown.  The telecast also will air in high definition on ESPN2 HD.
