Three days of people enjoying, creating, playing, sharing, discovering, participating and listening to sonic art.

Featuring Stephan Mathieu & Aleks Kolkowski, John Wall, DJ Scotch Egg, Blood Stereo & Ludo Mich plus the best emerging artists back to back with some of the leading figures in UK sonic art playing things you’ve never heard before (and maybe never will again).

In venues and situations across Brighton. There will be a wiki-conference, a radiophonic intervention in the Royal Pavillion Gardens, installations and performances, shopping centre public art, club nights and film screenings across the streets, buildings and air waves of Brighton.

  • Friday Night

    Expo’s live weekend kicks off in the Sallis Benney Theatre with an event celebrating the launch of the Expo commission 'The Fantastical Reality Radio Show', with performances from DJ Scotch Egg, Babygrand and Brown Sierra.

  • Saturday Day

    Performances and sound art across Brighton city centre including shopping centres, art spaces, radio waves and the streets.

  • Colour Out Of Space @ Expo

    Brighton’s premier festival of sonic madness lands in Expo dealing out a headline slot for Blood Stereo with Belgian performance artist Ludo Mich.

  • Radio Day

    Expo takes over the Royal Pavillion Gardens with a radiophonic intervention. You discover the sounds with a handheld radio.

  • Closing Party

    A packed event taking in one broad sweep everything from hardcore laptop sonic destruction to large group improv, live art, noisecore rock to high impact karaoke.
