Thea Moen Ronnevig is the first person associated with the women's soccer program to be inducted into the USC Upstate Athletics Hall of Fame. Her induction comes in her first year of eligibility.

Ronnevig played for the inaugural women's soccer team at the University in 2000 and had a stellar two-year career. Her name appears several times in the USC Upstate record book. Despite missing a portion of her first season with a knee injury, she still remains the school's all-time leading scorer with 52 points. She also owns the school's career record with 22 goals and ranks fourth with eight assists. In addition, she holds the single-season scoring record with 41 points and goals scored record with 18, both set in 2001. Her seven match-winning goals in 2001 stands as the single-season school record and also stands as the career record at the University. Her four goals and eight points against Clayton State on Oct. 23, 2001 stand as single-match school records as well.

Ronnevig is the program's only All-America selection, a First Team All-American in 2001 when she led the team to the regular season Peach Belt Conference title in just the second year of the program's existence. She was also a First Team All-Region selection and All-Conference pick her senior year.

In addition to her prowess on the soccer field, she was also a standout in the classroom. She was a two-time selection to the Peach Belt Conference Presidential Academic Honor Roll and was a District III CoSIDA Academic All-District selection in 2001.

Prior to coming to USC Upstate, Ronnevig played for two seasons at nearby Wofford College where she established several scoring records in two years in the program en route to earning All-Southern Conference honors.

Ronnevig and her husband, Henrik who is also being inducted into the Hall of Fame today, have a son, Nicolay. She is a Key Account Manager for DnB NOR in her native Norway.
