Priests He Considers Friends
"They claim to know God, but by their deeds they deny him.
They are vile and disobedient and unqualified for any good deed." [Titus 1:16]
It would be natural that Holy Men would promote Holy Men.
Evil men logically would be expected to endorse and promote evil men.
Homosexuals would be expected to endorse, promote and protect homosexuals.
Pedophiles, by Logical Extension, would be apt to
defend, endorse, promote, and protect pedophiles
especially if there would ever be a question
— of possible or actual blackmail —

Father Vernon Christian Dahmen – Ordained for the Diocese of Mobile in 1976, he is listed in the 1999 Official
Catholic Directory as being on leave from the Archdiocese. Fr. Dahmen died of AIDS on March 30, 2001. The archbishop desired Masses be said for this apostate and practicing sodomite who did not want to have anything to do with the Catholic Church (CLICK on obituary to read Archbishop Lipscomb's letter to the priests of the archdiocese). — On one occasion this priest witnessed Fr. Dahmen wearing his own canary yellow vestments while saying Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in West Mobile.
"If I say to the wicked man, You shall surely die; and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his wicked conduct so that he may live: that wicked man shall die for his sin, but I will hold you responsible for his death. If, on the other hand, you have warned the wicked man, yet he has not turned away from his evil nor from his wicked conduct, then he shall die for his sin, but you shall save your life." [Ezekiel 3:18-19]
Priests dying of AIDS at higher rate
Ledger-Enquirer — Associated Press
Kansas City, Mo.
Roman Catholic priests in the United States are dying of AIDS-related illnesses at a rate four times higher than the general population and the cause is often concealed on their death certificates, The Kansas City Star reported Sunday.
In the first of a three part series, the newspaper said death certificates and interviews with experts indicated several hundred priests have died of AIDS-related illnesses since the mid-1980's and hundreds more are living with HIV.
Would a sinner of kind be expected to be in denial
regarding an incontrovertibly recalcitrant sinner?
procliv-i-ty : an inclination or predisposition toward something; esp : a strong inherent inclination toward something objectionable. Webster's Ninth Collegiate - © 1986
addict : to devote or surrender (oneself) to something habitually or obsessively : to cause to become physiologically dependant upon a habit-forming drug (as heroin)
- homosexual : male or female with a proclivity for sexual encounter with a person of the same sex.
- pedophile : adult with a proclivity for prepubescent children (same or opposite sex).
- pederast : adult with a proclivity for (practices) anal (or oral) intercourse, especially with a boy ( a lover of boys ).
- ephebophile : adult whose proclivity (sexual interest) is focused on post-pubescent teenagers. [ef - eb - o - file]
- sodomy : act opposed to the creation of new life that requires pre-planning or pre-conditioning.
- murder : an act that terminates an existing innocent intelligent life (includes abortion).
- abortion : The murder of a defenseless preborn person –an intelligent life already in existence with its temporal facilities still under construction (computer without a functioning keyboard / automobile with tank full of gas but without wheels and tires)– is commonly a cover-up for promiscuous sexual intercourse. (Sodomy, because it requires pre knowledge or planning before the sexual act and keeps a new human being from coming into existence is a far greater offense than murder.)
Abortion is a sought after solution to either an inadvertent or advertent (defiant) act. Sodomy is an act, whether by intention or not, that does not allow for or intentionally excludes procreation. Sodomy is a sexual act between two beings with intelligence, or between one intelligent being and a lower animal life form.
Whether of heterosexual or homosexual orientation one is always expected by God to keep his sexual proclivities under control. The question of whether homosexual orientation can ever be natural is not relevant to this presentation. Sexual orientation is not relevant in relation to the commission of mental or physical sinful acts as a consequence of lust.
Proclivity for sexual addiction is inherent in human nature. Creation has taken place for the development of intellectual beings intended to share eternally with God. By God's design sexual inclinations are natural, strong, and important. They are strong enough to insure the growth of the human race. Abused they are highly offensive to our creator. Any sexual activity within or apart from lawful marriage that intentionally limits or avoids procreation is to be understood as condemnatory. God and rational people understand that moral marriage produces the best climate for the development of intellects that are constructive for the eternal good.
The development of self-control is necessary for salvation. The ordinary and only sexual relationship that is approved by God is between a married man and his wife. All other sexual activity God expects to be strictly avoided. – If the Holy Trinity did not have self-control, we either would not exist or would be subjects of an unpleasant capricious existence.
The addictive nature of sex is such that once sexual activity of any kind has commenced and repeated at least once some degree of compulsive addiction has been established. To avoid sexual addiction one must practice self-discipline combined with real love of God. Scripture prescribes controls to addiction within marriage. Apart from marriage interactive sexual activity is strongly condemned with punishments that include execution – adequate reason to have and keep oneself under self-control. The addictive nature of sex, coupled with lust, increases to the point where self-control becomes impossible to obtain without special graces from Jesus Christ received through sought after true faith.

Father Augustine John Moore – A former acting pastor of the then Catholic chapel in Orange Beach (1992 era), a mission of Our Lady of the Gulf Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama. During his stay in the Archdiocese of Mobile he is listed in The Official Catholic Directory as being "on duty outside the Archdiocese.
Fr. Moore was ordained for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1960 A.D. In the 1997 era Official Catholic Directory he is listed as pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Rio Arriba County, N.M. — a Member of Dignity, Inc. (Dignity/USA is the largest and most progressive national lay movement of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) Catholics, our families, and our friends.) Archbishop Lipscomb has been a frequent visitor to Orange Beach and is said to have donated an altar for Fr. Moore's private residence. Click on images below, then click on enlarge button.
A father of eleven children expresses his concern about homosexual activity and describes the crudity of those who practice it (CLICK on letter to read it). On two occasions he followed up on this open letter to Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb and has never received a reply.
Why does the hierarchy protect homosexuals unless they or their friends are involved in this activity?
At one time this man and his wife, parents of eleven children, were practicing Catholics raising their children in the one true faith. Now they question the legitimacy of the Church asking themselves how the Church could lead so many astray. They even question the authenticity of a God that would allow so many to loose their salvation by being contaminated by bad priests and religious.
As with so many who observed what was going on in parish churches and schools and at McGill-Toolen High School they eventually became downhearted and now practice their faith from their home. Some of their children have left the Church entirely with one joining an Eastern religion. If interested in opposing the practice of homosexuality he is interested in hearing from you. Bernard Cardinal Law – Protector of pedophiles and under automatic excommunication for giving Holy Communion to Senator Ted Kennedy who publicly supports abortion (Canon 1398, 1329 §2 – 1983 Code of Canon Law) is defended by Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb. Cardinal Law has cost the Archdiocese of Boston millions of dollars due to his protection of pedophiles.
Archbishop Lipscomb was endorsed by and considered a friend of the late Cardinal Joseph Bernardin of Chicago who once had been accused of pedophilia.
EXTRACT: "Isely, the Milwaukee therapist, says Cardinal Bernardin met with victims
and intended, before his death in 1996, to promote a public conversation with them."
Cardinal Bernardin passed leadership in one of his last (pet) projects, the Catholic Common Ground Project, on to Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb of Mobile, Alabama.
NOTE: Robert Crusoe, the sacristan of the Cathedral of Mobile, Alabama since 1959 (Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) is an acknowledged Mason. He has served under three bishops. Archbishop Toolen, Bishop May, and now under Archbishop Lipscomb. Since Robert has been quite open about his being a Mason it is hard to believe that Lipscomb was unaware of this fact. Under the prior Code of Canon Law being a Mason was an automatically excommunicatable offense. The Code was revised in 1983 and Masonry is still clearly condemned. Mr. Crusoe admitted to me that he knew he did not belong in this position. How is it that Mobile's bishops did not respect this canonical teaching?
This writer once extracted a spider from a cruet of wine, during preparation for consecrating the Holy Eucharist, that had been prepared by this sacristan.
Questions people of faith should ask about their priests and bishops:
- When may a priest be considered to be a homosexual, a liberal, a pedophile, or have other disqualifying behavior?
Disqualified priests are commonly considered acceptable by those of limited faith, while those who expose themselves by straight forward teachings are frequently discredited. It has become common that men of faith are disqualified for priesthood even before entering seminary; many are driven from seminary if they do not fit the liberal mold.
How can a person know when a parish priest is not a true man of God?
Or is one who deviates from and suppresses teachings of faith?
- By the number of hours posted for a priest's availability to hear confessions –in a church confessional– on Saturday afternoons and evenings,
- in small parishes at least two hours physically present.
- in larger parishes four or more hours.
- By the number of hours a priest actually hears confessions.
- A priest should be hearing the number of confessions necessary for every member of the congregation, who receives Holy Communion, to go at least twice a year. Some parishioners need to go weekly and many others at least monthly.
It is mandatory –according to the precepts of the Church supported by Old Testament teachings– that every Catholic make a personal confession at least once a year, preferably during Lent or at least during the Easter season. A sin of sacrilege is committed by one who receives Holy Communion in the state of mortal sin. A priest or bishop who gives Holy Communion to a known heretic, excommunicated person, or other public sinner is guilty of desecration of Jesus and is automatically excommunicated. — The reception of Holy Communion does not forgive mortal sin.
- By the number who actually go to confession. Relatively small numbers are seen as an indication that the priest is not a godly man, is poorly trained (a bishop's responsibility), or is an unconvincing speaker. Demand should be made that he improve or a petition for his removal from office be made regardless of how likeable a priest he may be. Parishioner inactivity is condemnable. One may not blame the Church for problems caused by his own failure to act.
- By the severity of penance given in confession. Penances should directly relate to the gravity of sins confessed. Minimalistic penances send the message that serious sin is not really offensive to God and does not qualify one for the Punishments of Hell as clearly understood in Sacred Scripture. Such penances are deceptive and are the work of a servant of Satan.
- By observing how many receive Holy Communion – if more than seventy-five percent received Holy Communion then the priest is not correctly teaching the content of the faith. One-third to two-thirds should be understood as the acceptable range. Larger or smaller numbers call for a reevaluation of the content of sermons (homilies are soft pedaled sermons with little impact).
- By inquiring into the reason a person known to be under automatic excommunication is allowed to receive Holy Communion.
- By questioning why a divorced and remarried Catholic –whose validated annulment is not a matter of knowledge by being posted in the local parish bulletin on three occasions– is receiving Holy Communion.
- Whether those known not to be Catholic are given Holy Communion – a sacrilege
When may a bishop be considered to be a homosexual, a liberal, a pedophile, or have other disqualifying behavior?
- When he himself is guilty as above.
- When he does not adequately discipline or remove deviant priests in relation to the extent of their offense.
- When as bishop he fails to make known what Catholics in his diocese have the right to know. The Catholic Church –apart from knowledge gained in legitimate confessions– is not a secret organization in relation to free societies.
Father Alexander Sherlock (right) – Recent pastor of Saint Peter's church in Montgomery after having been transferred there from Mobile following problems relating to pedophilia and known to be such for a number of years by Archbishop Lipscomb.
According to The Catholic Week, March 21, 2003, Father Sherlock, during his thirty-seven years serving as a priest, has worked from ten different parishes located both in and outside of the archdiocese of Mobile, including California and Wisconsin. Four of these assignments in the archdiocese were as pastor. It should be noted that the standard term of assignment in this archdiocese is six years renewable for another six years. The first two of Fr. Sherlock's assignments lasted only three years! Why? Two such transfers seems highly questionable and may indicate knowledge and complicity by the archbishop in possible wrongdoing.
Father J. Alexander Sherlock is a homosexual pedophile. The addictive nature of this sin is such that even if it were limited to only the four occurrences reported –too many to say that the habitual addictive nature of sexual activity is not present– then there must have been large numbers of homosexual adult encounters that have occurred and in all probability are continuing to occur.

. . . I sincerely hope legal charges are brought against Sherlock, as they would be against any other admitted sex offender. If the archbishop isn't charged as an accessory, as I believe he should be, then I hope he has the good sense to see the damage done to the church and resign immediately.

Prison for a Priest
"God in his infinite mercy may find forgiveness for your crimes," Judge Hugh Brunson told Defrocked Priest Gilbert Gauthe Jr. But the court, said Brunson, was faced with the "need of society to protect its most defenseless and vulnerable members, the children." Brunson sentenced Gauthe to 20 years in prison without parole after Gauthe pleaded guilty to sexually molesting eleven boys in his Henry, La., parish. Gauthe was the fourth Catholic priest imprisoned this year on such charges (the other cases occurred in Idaho, Wisconsin and Rhode Island) and the most severely penalized... A popular priest in a...

The church must come to terms. . .
Not true. Within a year of arriving as archbishop of Boston in 1984, Law shuffled Father John Geoghan to yet another parish. By this time Geoghan had been abusing children for 22 years, and Cardinal Law and his officials knew all about it. But nobody told Geoghan's new parishioners at St. Julia's. After abusing more children there, he was removed for treatment, then was assigned once again to St. Julia's, where he preyed on and raped more children. Court allegations say he abused 130 or more children before finally being defrocked in 1998.

In 1984, the Rev. Gilbert Gauthe, who served churches in the Diocese of Lafayette, La., became the test case of a serial pedophile behind a Roman collar. Ray Mouton was hired as his defense attorney.
Father Gauthe's career as a pedophile spanned that of his calling. He was indicted in August 1984, at about age 40, on 34 counts of sexual misconduct against 11 children. That November, he admitted to having sexual contact with boys in every church he served after his 1971 ordination.

The Priest Scandal
By Carl M. Cannon
. . .Down in New Orleans, Jason Berry watched all of this unfold with more than an academic interest. So did I, along with others who'd covered this issue before. Although the details were familiar, such stuff never loses its power to shock. I couldn't help but wonder what Gilbert Gauthe's many victims, now grown men, thought of all this.
At the same time John Geoghan was engaging in oral sex with boys while instructing them to close their eyes and repetitively recite "Hail Marys," Gauthe was forcing altar boys in Louisiana to repeatedly submit to and perform anal or oral intercourse with him – often molesting several boys in one family. Estimates of the number of his victims, some of whom were as young as 7, ranged upwards of 100. Geoghan swore boys to secrecy by telling them what they did was "confessional"; Gauthe, who often carried firearms, warned at least one boy that if he said anything Gauthe would harm his parents.
Inevitably, though, some of these boys did tell their parents. Diocesan authorities simply transferred him to another parish--and another, and another. The string ran out in a bayou village called Henry, Louisiana, in 1983. Church officials responded by refusing to tell parishioners--even the parents of boys suspected of being molested--why Gauthe was sent away. They advised parents who did come forward to keep silent. No priest or vicar from the Lafayette diocese ever called the cops. After Gauthe was arrested, the parents sued the diocese. In the course of litigation Frey admitted there was a second pedophile priest in his diocese.

When the archbishop was asked why he had kept Fr. Sherlock, an acknowledged pedophile, in ministry, Lipscomb responded, "We are in the business of changing people from bad to better, if we can."
While this statement is true the archbishop cannot be deemed absolved from not taking disciplinary action and immediately and permanently removing Sherlock from active ministry. By sound reasoning the gravity of the crime calls for permanent removal from ministry and deduction from future income at least to the extent the diocese becomes financially liable. Any changing from bad to better (this could mean reducing by 50% the number of boys to be molested in the next thirty-seven years) should be undertaken apart from ministry.
Why is district attorney John Tyson, Jr. not taking criminal action against Archbishop Lipscomb? Will the district attorney take action if it is proven that Lipscomb assisted actively or passively in Sherlock's deviancy? Or are Tyson and Lipscomb of a common brotherhood, that of Freemasonry as is prevalent among Vatican cardinals and clergy, and are sworn to protect each other to whatever extent is possible? If this is the case then Lipscomb's involvement can be expected to be white washed, as seems apparent in relation to so many other dioceses in the United States.
From a true Catholic perspective Attorney General Bill Pryor has no reason to recuse himself because of association with the offender. "For why should I (Saint Paul) be judging outsiders? Is it not your business to judge those within? God will judge those outside. Purge the evil person from your midst." [1 Cor. 5:12-13]
Cindy's Story of Rape Mary's Story of Rape Free Real Media Player
The acts of pedophiles are humanistic, sinful, and condemning, but the real culprits are the bishops who fail to remove them totally, utterly, and permanently from office. Human weakness, preconditioning, and childhood trauma are among the various reasons given for the actions of pedophiles. But, there is no valid reason for allowing one under the authority of a bishop to continue in ministry in a position of authority where the consequences can be devastating. Such is not the brotherhood of Jesus Christ. It is a humanistic brotherhood that is condemnatory.
Societies sinners, due to its own humanism, share in the guilt of the bishops. This is seen in the case of the adulterous woman when Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin throw the first stone at her." [Jn. 8:7] The inaction of society tells us that they are incapable of casting that first stone because of their own guilt. When Jesus explained how the woman's accusers were immediately guilty, they put there stones down and walked away. They could not cast them at the woman because of their own current guilt. They were made to understand their own guilt. Hopefully they repented and changed their ways in order to build a better relationship with God and avoid condemnation.
To remove someone from office does not mean that the person cannot be sacramentally forgiven as a repentant sinner and additionally be given the opportunity for rehabilitation. Restorative justice should not mean that a priest be returned to holy ministry, something he has desecrated by his actions. Some sins, as revealed in Holy Scripture, demand grave penalties so that others fear to commit them.

Archbishop Lipscomb Video Presentation before USCCB
Dallas Meeting in Summer of 2002 (3.5 minute segment)
Oscar Hugh Lipscomb's concern for restorative justice: The concept of retroactive penalty and law is opposed by Archbishop Lipscomb. His opposition begs the question of the aspect of permanent scandal in relation to the retention of a perpetrating priest in ministry and clouds the morality of the whole priesthood. Pedophilia is a felony under civil law and a perpetrator and accomplices should be imprisoned. He should not be allowed to remain free while laity is expected to donate to collections to pay for the consequences of his highly deviant activity. Justice for victims is not served by leniency for the culprit. If bishops had immediately removed felons and reported them to police (apart from legitimate confessional matter) then the various dioceses would have an extra billion dollars to use in God's service.
Archbishop Lipscomb's discourse at the Dallas conference was to my recollection the most sadly defensive in nature of any of those presented. While he did not speak as often as Cardinals Law and Mahony –two other grave offenders– his was more favorable to those whom he considered as not being recidivistic after each treatment and reinstatement. Could this be a reflection on his own past guilt? If so, is such guilt truly in the past, or is it that he is still going through repetitions of recidivism?
Archbishop Lipscomb has signaled his intention of not severing pedophiles from the priesthood to the extent he is able. He has rejected the concept that recidivism is a probability. His statement was a predilection for non-compliance. In the end he allowed Fr. Sherlock to resign to avoid his having disciplinary action against him placed on his record.

Fr. Sherlock has served in seven parishes (Click on the dog) in Mobile, one in Montgomery, and others outside of the archdiocese during which it is known that he has molested at least four young males. This type of offender will have commonly molested many more during this length of time. How many more occurrences will come to light is speculative. Archbishop Lipscomb allowed Sherlock to resign on February 28, 2003 rather than removing him from office as an offender.
News reports state that Mobile's Archbishop Oscar Lipscomb has authorized retirement pay and allowances for Father Alexander Sherlock. It is unknown at this time whether the Archdiocese, under the authority of Archbishop Lipscomb, has paid or will pay substantial sums, perhaps in the millions of dollars for the actions of pedophile priests. It is known that Lipscomb authorized a transference of $3,000,000.00 to another diocese to help it pay for the consequences of pedophile priests. It is estimated that over a billion dollars have been paid by dioceses throughout the country in relation to pedophilia, and additional hundreds of millions for health care costs for homosexual priests. With rare exception these priests have not been removed from ministry except by death. One priest was reported to have died from a heart attack while having sexual relations with a prostitute.
The following are a few of the dioceses and archdioceses involved with payoffs due to pedophilia or are expected to make pay outs in the near future: Lafayette, Santa Rosa, Dallas, Santa Fe, Tucson, Boston, Chicago, New York, Mobile, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc.
The holder of this web site, without any charge of wrong doing against him, or of having ever gone against an official teaching of the Catholic Church –though admittedly has taken politically incorrect positions– has been denied all pay and allowances since 1993 A.D. (except for hospitalization). Further he has been denied retirement income even though the former Father Sherlock, now 62 years old, is five years younger and apparently will receive full retirement pay despite costs that will be incurred by the archdiocese for claims against the church because of his bishop retaining him in diocesan assignments and protecting him from prosecution. Fr. Sherlock has been forced from office following a criminal offense – a felony under civil law. He is considered doomed by the teachings of Sacred Scripture.
- "If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." [Leviticus 20:13] – No penalty would be inferred concerning an innocent child.
- "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." [Matthew 18:6; Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2]
The same statement made in three different Gospels carries especially strong weight.
Archbishop Lipscomb's "I Am Sorry" is not sufficient.
This is not a statement that he has sinned, repents and by making an open
public confession accepts due penance that is meaningful restitution.
Lipscomb should not express sorrow for unrepentant sinner Sherlock,
– Sherlock should be doing public penance in sackcloth and ashes –
who attempted to resign for reasons of health,
but should be sorry for those who have lost faith in God
and in His Church by his acting as an accomplice in grave scandal.
The Best Apology the Archbishop could give would be to
Acknowledge His Sin (failure to remove) and Resign.
Grand Masters of Denial through Double Speak
DOUBLE SPEAK – responding in a manner that gives the impression that one is properly giving
an answer, while in reality a listener was only deceived into believing the question is answered.

Fr. Eamon Miley, pastor, St. Monica's Catholic Church, speaks at Christ Episcopal, Mobile. Noon. Lunch at 12:30 for nominal fee. (March 20: Lenten service) – In 2002 Directory of Archdiocese of Mobile he is listed as absent. When absent before, tending bar in NYC, priests of the archdiocese sought him out (a known homosexual) and asked him to return to the diocese. He did so in 1983.
- Update February 2005 ? Fr. Miley, after another extended absence, has been recalled to replace another priest on leave for health reasons. Father Eamon Miley is now pastor of St. Martin of Tours parish in Troy, Alabama. Fr. Miley was recalled despite his liberal agenda that even had Archbishop Lipscomb concerned.
? – How many pedophile priests in the archdiocese? Unknown.
? – How many homosexual priests? Numerous.
Developing theology considers the probability that pre existing conditions at the time of ordination, such as homosexual orientation and other invalidating behaviors, make legal ordinations morally invalid. Conditions of heresy and other offenses that incur automatic excommunication, either before or after a priest's ordination, invalidate moral ordination. Under these conditions there is no Mass as the bringing of Jesus present in the Most Holy Eucharist requires the celebrant to be in a morally ordained status. NOTE: The sign (indelible mark) of a legal only ordination is not white, but black – "the mark of the beast."
Hospital says church deceptive about priests
Mobile Register, Sunday, March 24, 2002
By Eric Rich, Hartford Courant
A nationally renowned psychiatric hospital that for years has treated clergy accused of sexual misconduct now says it was deceived by the Roman Catholic Church into providing reports that the church used to keep abusive priests in the ministry.
The church sometimes concealed information about past complaints against clergy sent for treatment, and disregarded warnings that the hospital's evaluations should not determine a priest's fitness for parish work, doctors at Hartford's Institute of Living said in interviews.
