Symptom Checker

Symptom Checker
I have an abnormal vaginal discharge and burning when I go to the bathroom. Could I have an STD?
Answer: You could have chlamydia, the most common sexually transmitted disease in the United States. Other symptoms include spotting between periods, abdominal pain with fever, and itching or burning around the vagina. (Another possibility is gonorrhea.) Oral antibiotics usually clear up the infection, but if left untreated chlamydia can cause pelvic inflammatory disease and even infertility. Most women with chlamydia have no symptoms, so doctors recommend annual screenings for those who may be at risk.
