SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT TO OVERSEE FOREIGN SALES FOR THE TREE OF LIFE
New Film from Acclaimed Director Terrence Malick, Starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain Available for the First Time at Cannes Market Los Angeles, CA May 7, 2008 — Summit Entertainment, the world's leader in film sales, and River Road Entertainment, one of the premiere independent production and financing companies, are proud to announce that Summit will represent foreign rights outside of North America for the highly anticipated drama THE TREE OF LIFE. Rights to international territories will be available for the first time at the upcoming market surrounding the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Malick discovery Jessica Chastain star in the movie written and directed by Terrence Malick. River Road is financing the project which is currently being filmed in Texas. River Road founder Bill Pohlad is producing along with Malick regulars Sarah Green and Grant Hill, and Plan B's Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner. "Terry Malick films always seem to draw a crowd.
