Profile:

Cultural anthropologist. PhD, Anthropology, University of Kentucky. MA, Anthropology, University of Kentucky. BS, Biology, University of California.
Primary academic focus is cultural phase transition, (i.e. from hunter/gatherer to agricultural), and the evolution and collapse of complex societies, especially the histories of "high" pre-Columbian Western Hemisphere societies, such as the Anasazi, classical Maya and Tairona, plus their descendents, such as the Pueblo people of New Mexico and Arizona, and the Kogi in northern Colombia. Interested in "Singularity" as both a meme, and as a potential phase transition.
Also interested in how limbic system in human brain affects social evolution.
