From this year, a monthly version of "Foreign Legislation" is available in addition to the quarterly version. It gives you a concise update on legislative trends and also provides Japan-related information on foreign legislatures.
Lecture and Discussion "Looking Toward Legislation for Internet Archiving" (Japanese)
An open lecture meeting will be held on July 15 in the Tokyo Main Library, featuring a lecture by Dr. Ian E. Wilson, Archivist and Librarian of Canada, and a discussion between Dr. Wilson and Dr. Makoto Nagao, Librarian of NDL.
NDL's 60th anniversary
The NDL has reached its 60th anniversary since its foundation in 1948 (photo: Akasaka Main Library at its establishment, present State Guest-House). Various commemorative events, including a symposium and an exhibition of rare books, will be held in October and November.
