Atari is going to release the Family Trainer in Europe this September and this instantly reminds us of the Wii Fit. The Family Trainer does offer a mat, something like DDR dance pad, for the player to enjoy family outdoor games such as river rafting and log jumping. Not very exciting but hey, it’s a good try.

Our familiar Nyko (Nyko Technologies) has announced an price increase in most of Nyko’s products. New Chinese labour laws, rising costs of oil and raw materials were the main reasons behind the price increase. However we will not see a drop in quality of Nyko’s gaming peripherals as the company is dedicated on delivering quality products rather than cutting present standards.
“The cost of manufacturing continues to rise while the value of the U.S. dollar grows weaker, forcing us to adapt,” said Herschel Naghi, CEO of NYKO Technologies. “Experience has shown that maintaining quality at a higher price, instead of degrading our product in order to keep costs low, is a strategy that will prevail in the long run.”
So as to speak, gamers have to budget and making smart choices.

The Blue Phase LCD panel by Samsung offers more natural moving images at a higher response rate. More gaming realism?
The most remarkable feature is a superior response rate, allowing images to be reproduced at 240Hz or higher without the need for any overdrive circuit.

The Wizplat (W-31UA) from Sarotech (Korea) is a storybook-shaped, 3.5-inch external hard drive casing that can be plugged into your friendly USB port. SATA I/II HDD are supported. I’m not sure why this HDD enclosure is designed as a not-so-appealing storybook. Maybe it is to remind you that your computers : books ratio is not balanced.
