Sir Henry Cooper School

Current provision

Sir Henry Cooper School is currently a 1082 place secondary school with 685 pupils, aged 11-16, currently attending. The school is located on a site in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Proposed provision under BSF

Option 1
An academy to be located on the Princess Elizabeth Playing Fields, with provision for 1200 pupils aged 11-16 years.

Option 2
Sir Henry Cooper school will become an academy and remain on its existing site, with provision for 1200 pupils aged 11-16 years.

Type of build and timescale

Option 1
The academy will be a new build, due to take place between January 2011 and July 2012, with a planned opening in September 2012. Sponsors for the academy are to be confirmed.

Option 2
The school will be a remodel/new build due to take place between January 2011 and July 2012 with a planned opening in Septmber 2012. Sponsors for the academy are to be confirmed.

Option 1
The Academy will be located on Pricess Elizabeth Playing Fields, map reference 3 on the map below. The catchment area is shaded cream.

Option 2
The school will be located on its existing site, shown at map reference 23 on the map below. The catchment area is shaded cream.  Select the map for a larger version.
