THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES (cancelled)
accueil
The decision to grant the winter games to Sapporo raised much enthusiasm. The Sino-Japanese war burst in 1937 and the Japanese Olympic Committee had to give up the Games. Then the I.O.C transferred the winters games to Saint-Moritz, but because of the Swiss regulation on the skiing instructors, the organization was entrusted to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Because of the war, the games were cancelled.
With the difference of the summer Games, the Winter Olympics which did not have place are not numbered.
