OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray announced today the signing of forward Greg Mauldin to a one-year, two-way contract.
Mauldin, 26, played last season with Ottawa’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. In 71 games with the B-Sens, he scored 15 goals and added 18 assists for 33 points while recording 37 penalty minutes.
The Holliston, Mass., native was the Columbus Blue Jackets’ seventh-round choice (199th overall) in the 2002 entry draft. Mauldin made his National Hockey League debut during the 2003-04 season, where he was held scoreless and added four penalty minutes in six games with Columbus. In 206 career AHL games, he has scored 35 goals and 58 assists while collecting 139 penalty minutes.
