General Hospital: Who Is Robin Scorpio's One True Love?

i love her with jason, but i

i love her with jason, but i had to go with stone.

Robin's one true love

Robin's one true love is.........Robin! She is always right, sees no one else's point of view and does not even consider the harm she does as anything wrong!

Even though I am a huge JnR

Even though I am a huge JnR fan -- I have to go with Stone on this one. But what cracked me up was the mentioning of the fact that Robin/Patrick relationship is mature.

Okay...well chronologically

Okay...well chronologically speaking she's older than she was with the other two guys, LOL. But you are right squabbling over furniture for three months wasn't very mature!

Patrick is not mature yet,

Patrick is not mature yet, he is getting there and this is why I vote for Stone!

They really love one another without reserve.

If Patrick can his you know what together, then may be with time, he will be a good boy friend.

Now, not so much!

I picked Stone but Patrick

I picked Stone but Patrick is probably a a more realistic match for Robin. Background, intellect education and temperaments are what Stone was the first great love of Robin's life and one of the best lovestories on daytime but if he'd lived longer would they still be together. I loved loved loved Jason & Robin but again they were young and Jason was like a baby being formed by Robin. I dont know that they were each of truest loves.

Robin will never get over

Robin will never get over Stone...
STONE

Wow, for Robin's sake I hope

Wow, for Robin's sake I hope people realize Stone is DEAD, you know?

She loved Stone. She loved Jason. Now she loves Patrick and Patrick loves her and they are having a baby. I don't believe in this "One True Love" nonsense, however, Patrick is definitely the man for her and they will be happy (fighting and making up and laughing) together and I am happy for her.

I might agree with you about

I might agree with you about the concept of one true love being nonsense in real life, but in the soap world, it's the bricks the house was built upon. That's why they call them "supercouples".

"In the soap world" is too

"In the soap world" is too generic. On DOOL, "supercouple" is a reasonable expectation, but not on GH. If the concept of one true love is the brick the house was built upon, General Hospital is made of straw.

On GH, each character seems to have a "one true love" until the writers re-write the story and the next person is the "one true love" disregarding the previous "one true love" and it goes on and on. GH does NOT do "supercouples" anymore, so the concept of "one true love" does not apply to GH characters in my opinion.

Anyway, that's another discussion, I suppose. Luckily for Robin, her first love and her current love do not require rewriting history. She can be part of more than one epic pairing. Then, with Stone and now, with Patrick. True Love? Yes. Just more than one, and in a way that does not have to diminish either of them or what they mean to her.

I'm still of the mind that Patrick is the right man for Robin now and going forward. If there were such a thing as a supercouple on this show, they are a couple that I would want to achieve such a status and it is how I regard them, but I doubt TPTB do.

Becca your post was

Becca your post was brilliant! Bricks and Straws loved it all.

Becca I totally agree that

Becca I totally agree that today's GH isn't the home of supercouples that it once was, which is tragically sad since they are the soap that gave us Luke and Laura. I guess the romantic in me still likes to believe in destiny couples, at least in daytime, since Lord knows a winner can turn loser before you can spit in real life! LOL

I think the days of

I think the days of old-school supercouples are pretty much gone (except for ones that are from back then: ie. DAYS Bo & Hope). For a couple of reasons, IMO: 1) writers now have it in their heads that they have to constantly break-up couples, pair them with others, then put them back together and then start the whole cycle over again (instead of coming up with more creative obstacles for them to triumph over) 2)people aren't staying on soaps as long as they used to so an actor leaving forces writers to pair a character with another "true love" 3)A revolving door of head writers/execs who want to make the show "their own" and so dismiss what fans want and what works and instead do their own thing...

There are definitely couples that are great and are hugely popular, but it's harder and harder to think of them as Destiny Couples...but when I love a couple that's exactly how I think of them Smiling

Stone was Robin's one true

Stone was Robin's one true love. Patrick comes in @ a strong second. Jason dissed her for telling the TRUTH about Michael, so that pretty much soured thir romance for me. Plus, I'm a Liason Fan.

Jason Morgan is my far the

Jason Morgan is my far the love of Robin's life. Stone was a first love, and extremely important, and forever a force in her life. Patrick is a very passionate but abusive. He treats her badly and has never respected her. He is the worst man for her IMO. Stone and Jason are the loves of her life, but Jason gave her the greatest sense of self and she had the best chemistry with thim. They will always be linked and hopefully someday they will reunite.

Paadise I agree with

Paadise I agree with everything you said about Jason,Stone and Patrick.

I am a long time Robin

I am a long time Robin Scorpio from day 1 and there is no question that "Stone" is the love of her life she talks about him to this day. Had he not died she never would have gotten with Jason in the first place IMO.

I was a big Robin/Jason fan back in the day but like her I am so over it. Now as a fan of her pairing with Patrick although they were poorly scribed; I am trying to get back on board..its been difficult but 'm "lukewarm" to the idea of a reunion. Robin is one character that whomever she is with that is who I champion for her it doesn't matter if she loves them; I love them.

Robin was lucky enough to

Robin was lucky enough to have two true loves/soulmates. Jason and Stone. I believed in Robin's connection with Jason and it didn't matter if it was Quartermaine or Morgan, it was there between them. Stone was pure love. Not puppy love or teenaged love but genuine, mature and strong. I hate having to choose between the two of them but I went with Jason and Robin.

Poor, little, self-righteous

Poor, little, self-righteous Robin. She is still caught in the back alleys of her own past. She doesn't expect love to last; people/love comes and goes. Losing her parents and thinking them dead, although they weren't, losing Stone (her first love)to AIDS, and having to share Jason whom she had known for years with the despicable Carly, did real number on Robin. Is it any wonder Robin is trying to protect herself from the hurt that will come when Patrick decides to leave too? I can see where Robin is coming from but for all her maturity she needs a good shaking. Hey Robin, babies grow up and they leave too. Just ask your mother!

And yes, Carly is despicable. The character's tenure on the show has been one of selfish outrage, lying and duplicity, manipulation and self-serving, poisonous action, and the definition of BOREDOM! Surely it's about time for another nervous breakdown and she can join Laura as a wig on a broom handle in Shady Rest.

Stone. I know a lot has

Stone. I know a lot has changed, but their love was NOT in anyway childish. Their love defintly would have been strong enough to survive change. she seemed the happiness with him.

I agree with the "one true

I agree with the "one true love". On GH, everyone is a one true love at least twice on their time. The couples break up like anything on GH, usually within a year so it's shock if they last longer here. So I think Robin's first great love is Stone. Obviously. Then her friendship with Jason is better as a friendship. Neither sees anything as betrayel. I think Patrick is her love for a while right now. It's been maybe 2 years since they met, fell in love, and are now having a baby. Sure, she didn't say yes to his proposal but she said she didn't want to marry anybody. Smiling

Patrick Drake hands down. He

Patrick Drake hands down. He is by far my favorite of the three and most def. who I think her true love is. Robin has even said herself that she was never happier than she was with him. Stone was a great love but in no way, IMHO, her true love. Of course I also don't see the Romeo and Juliet aspect of their relationship, but thats just me, some parts I see, others are VERY out there. Jason was at the time her equal. But that time has passed, she showed him how to love and he gave her hope of a future. Patrick is NOW her equal, her mature love, her one true love. He gave her the future she hoped for. There was MOST DEF. rough patches but their love got them through. They are each other's lobsters; hooked claws for life. This is as true as you get on soaps.
