Ism- Urgency

Ism Urgency

Release Date: August 5th
STM Records
Tracks to download: Urgency, Sacred Cows

Urgency, NY-based ism’s sophomore album, poses unflinching questions about the human condition with synth-heavy guitars, hypnotic melodies, and driving beats.

Urgency sounds like the bastard love child of the Killers and Nine Inch Nails with driving rhythm, heavy synthesized guitars and vocals that sound nearly identical to Brandon Flowers’s “Somebody Told Me”.

While imitation maybe the sincerest form of flattery, Urgency may make NIN and Muse blush a bit. One of the strong songs on the album, Sacred Cows, is sounds like a less angry version of NIN’s “Head Like a Hole”. Though, if you have to sound like someone, Trent Reznor is a good choice.

The band’s name comes from the ism’s in society: racism, sexism, terrorism, extremism, radicalism, etc.
