An old soul is in sometimes someone who keeps making the same mistakes, repeatedly. Nothing to be too proud of because it means you are simply stuck on repeat. Somestimes, the soul gets to be old because it is simply stuck there.
But once you are ancient, not simply old and worn-out and have suffered enough, you start getting it and then you get out of it.
This is when you hit the end pattern of learning through pain and the starting learning through wisdom. It is quite a juggling act getting the ego out of the way but not totally, purifying the unconscious and emotional body. What are your secondary rewards that keep you stuck on repeat? and learning about using your mind but not letting it block the way and becoming intuitively intelligent and an energy surfer. But mostly becoming aware and vigilant all the time.
The dance of consciousness up to this point had been a complex multi-step confusion but now we get some of the steps in advance.
The learning process is integrated on the intuitive level where the real learning happens. You are becoming a smart soul.
Ending the learning through pain renews you. Starting to learn to learn through wisdom makes you youngoldwise. Soon enough you're as good as new...but smart, not reactive anymore, intuitive and intelligent (note the order) and skipping out of duality/karma/ victimisationbothway/whydid that brick fall on my head? Because you were leading it there through your unpurified unconscious.
So you are an old soul…punch drunk and battle-worn or wise beyond your years, turning experience into gold.
And that is when it starts to be fun...again.
Are you dancing yet? the dance to Shambalah over the far horizon…and stepping right onto the next reality, one you will have created…again as you have created yourself but now you know.
