GIANNI Zuiverloon's Olympic dream is over after Holland were beaten 2-1 by Argentina in the quarter-finals.

Lionel Messi fired his second goal of the tournament to open the scoring in the 14th minute but Otman Bakkal levelled nine minutes before the break for the Dutch.

Zuiverloon played the whole encounter but could only watch when Barcelona ace Messi set up the winner for Angel Di Maria in the final minute of first-half extra-time.
