A Seal Clubbing in Brazilian Football

By: Bob | September 17th, 2007

Remember the first time you saw the Brazilian footballer Kerlon perform his amazingly silly seal dribble act? You probably wondered how long it would take before an opposing player would club him like a baby seal. It happened this weekend during the Belo Horizonte derby when Atletico Mineiro’s Coelho chopped down the Cruzeiro striker, touching off a brawl as you can see in the video above. “I don’t think he should do that in a derby,” Atletico goalscorer Marinho whined after the match. “I hope he learns, he could have got hurt.” Actually, I hope he doesn’t learn. Kerlon’s seal move is ridiculous but it is entertaining, especially when it ends with a forearm shiver.
