UN Prejudice Against Arabic Families
by Wanda Fish Wednesday August 23, 2006 at 02:31 PM

This open letter to Alexander Downer urges the Australian Government to take a fair stand against Israel and the United Nations that once again is condoing Israel's state-based terrorism and the slaughter of innocent civilians.

The Honorable Alexander Downer,

I write to you as Australias voice in the international arena, and urge you to consider the United Nations prejudice against Arabic peoples in the latest Security Council resolution.

It is time for the Australian Government to stand up against Israel and represent the views of the majority of Australians who have watched a one sided war that justifies the killing of civilians in the name of defending against terrorism.

While the Israeli armed forces indiscriminately fire into suburban areas in Lebanon and have killed more than 1,000 civilians (many of them children); the so-called terrorist group, Hezbollah killed 157 Israelis of which 114 were soldiers.

The United Nations resolutions once again favor Israel, a country that has been practicing blatant state-based terrorism against the Palestinians. the Lebanese, and other Arabic states for some years.

If the Australian Government is serious and fair about fighting terrorism, then that fight must be without prejudice or favor. It must also be based on the premise that all people are created equal and that invasion by an army against unarmed civilians and children is the supreme form of terrorism.

I talk to a lot of fellow Australians in my travels, and the changing tide of opinion is clear. I suggest you open your eyes to how the Israel is using the world, including the United Nations, to justify continuous killing and oppression of Arabic people. I am neither Muslim nor Jewish, but I am a fervent supporter of human rights.

Please have the courage to stand up to the global prejudice that seems to be saying that one Israeli citizen is more valuable than 35 Arabic children. Australia, with our rich multi-cultural and ethnic population, should lead by example with decisions and actions that recognize all people are equal and indiscriminate killing by any state is the lowest and most cowardly form of terrorism.

I urge you to call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for the immediate withdrawal of the 30,000 Israeli troops in Lebanon. I also urge you to ensure our troops are now drawn into this prejudicial war where the real terrorists over-run another country with their tanks and soldiers.

Thank you for your attention and for opening your heart and your eyes.

Sincerely,

Wanda Fish

"Please have the courage to stand up to the global prejudice that seems to be saying that one Israeli citizen is more valuable than 35 Arabic children"

That would seem to mean that the world in general (and the Israelis in particular) placed a greater value on them than the Palestinians do.

We don't hear all the details, only little bits and pieces, but I've heard thaqt the Egyptians are trying to make a deal at a ratio of 600:1 -- bargaining the Palestinians down from 1000:1

If the Palestinians think the life of one Israeli is worth a thousand of theirs, why blame the rest of us for not being bothered by a 35:1 ratio.

BTW -- I am not asking or expecting YOU to place ANY value on the life of an Israeli. You probably have no particular reason to care whether Israelis survive or not. Just don't get upset if I don't give a damn whether YOU live or die either.

only pro-Israelis condemn others absolutely

Israeli citizens are human beings, and as such I'd suggest all of us who support Hezbollah's fight and the Palestinians' struggle extend their compassion to all human beings. Without distinction.

Where people are members of the IDF they are legitimate military targets. But supporting Hezbollah's resistance does not necessarily mean support for rockets falling on Israeli cities.

You're actually clearly differentiating yourself from your opponents in suggesting you don't give a shit about the lives or rights of some human beings. That sentiment of inhumanity is exclusively yours.

It's the reason Israel has armies at its gate. Its the reason Israel will not survive.

Distinguishing between who are the humans worth saving and who doesn't matter and might as well die.... on the basis of race, nationality and cultural affiliation... remind you of anything?

Thank you for ignoring us at the United Nations. Ever heard of Syria being on the Security Council? If that's not catering to the IslamoNazis, then what is?

Your Orwellian idiocy is duly noted and appreciated. And for God's sake, take a bath.

How Jews operate
by One law for us Thursday August 24, 2006 at 01:50 PM

EXCLUSIVE A FORMER Federal Court judge has used the same excuse three times to beat traffic violations that someone else was driving his car.
Marcus Einfeld is battling claims he perjured himself over a $77 speeding fine in January by blaming a dead American woman.

Now the Herald Sun can reveal Mr Einfeld also avoided speeding and traffic signal violations in 1999 and 2000 while he was a judge earning more than $200,000 a year.

In two statutory declarations, then Justice Einfeld named an Australian woman based in America as the driver of his taxpayer-funded car.

When the Herald Sun phoned the woman in the US yesterday, she said: "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Asked if she knew Marcus Einfeld, she replied: "I know the name."

When told Mr Einfeld had twice named her as the driver of an official car involved in traffic violations, she replied: "Thank you for letting me know -- I have to go."

Israel having another "blonde moment"
by Israel threatens Iran - more provocations Thursday August 24, 2006 at 07:52 PM

Iranian foot-dragging may compel Israel to 'go it alone'

Israel is carefully watching the world's reaction to Iran's continued refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, with some high-level officials arguing it is now clear that when it comes to stopping Iran, Israel "may have to go it alone," The Jerusalem Post has learned.

One senior source said on Tuesday that Iran "flipped the world the bird" by not responding positively to the Western incentive plan to stop uranium enrichment. He expressed frustration that the Russians and Chinese were already saying that Iran's offer of a "new formula" and willingness to enter "serious negotiations" was an opening to keep on talking.

I don't know about you, but I suspect the Middle East would be a safer and more stable place if Iran had nukes. Israel, in this latest example, has shown once again why it is the greatest threat to peace in the Middle East.

Get rid of Israel.

Israeli evacuation plan

Agreed. Iran needs nukes for balance in the region, unless Israel agrees to being immediately disarmed by responsible international parties.

Israel has no right to call on the United Nations for anything ever. Except maybe help with a plan for evacuation to North America.

Perhaps there's a lack of foresight involved here... breaching a couple of dozen UN resolutions over the years seemed to Israel's leaders like a good idea at the time....
