New Sierra AirCard for EVDO Rel A support

Sierra Wireless has announced the AirCard 595 which brings EVDO Release A support. Release A will be the next network upgrade for both Sprint and Verizon EVDO. Release A offers a theoretical 3.1 megabits download and 1.8 megabits of upload speed. Sierra is releasing the new AirCard before the carriers have upgraded their networks so they will have a product at launch. The AirCard 595 is a Type II PC Card, similar to their earlier versions.

I guess I'm whistling Dixie if I think there will be a firmware update for my Blackberry 7130e to give it EVDO Release A. :-)
