Students preparing projects or interested
in learning more about the federal government and Congress should
|Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) spoke at the
groundbreaking for the new cancer center at Central Vermont Medical
Center (CVMC) in Berlin, Vt. on September 4, 2008. The center will
provide radiation therapy to cancer patients who currently have to
travel to either Burlington or Lebanon. Pictured above, left to right,

|On September 3, 2008, Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.)
visited the site for Connecticut River Transit's new 20,000-square-foot
transit facility in Rockingham. Leahy secured $3 million for the
$3.66 million project. This site will house a new transit facility
and bus terminal, as well as a new park and ride lot. Connecticut River
Transit is expected to move into the facility next spring.
