Don't politicise SASB land transfer issue: ANC

Srinagar (PTI): The Awami National Conference (ANC) on Friday appealed to political parties in Jammu and Kashmir to desist from taking mileage out of the transfer of forest land to the Amarnath shrine board.

"We caution national and regional parties in the state to desist from taking political mileage out of shrine board issue and not to divide the state on communal lines," senior ANC leader Muzaffar Shah said in a statement here.

Seeking immediate revocation of the land transfer order he said an expert committee comprising scientists and environmentalists should be set up to recommend remedial measures to protect the sanctity of the Amaranth Cave, Pahalgam and Baltal.
