Who are we?

New Heights Community Health Centres are dedicated to achieving health together through accessible and high quality care and community programs. We offer free primary health care and health promotion programs for people in our community – from babies to older persons.
We work with our community to identify and take action on neighbourhood health issues. We partner with our community to offer a variety of programs and projects that help to create healthy places to live and work. We believe that good health means more than just not being sick. It also means affordable housing and safe play spaces. It means clean air and access to education and jobs.

Pathways to Education

The program began in the fall of 2007 with local youth entering grade 9. The focus is on providing supports after school to help youth successfully complete high school. Based on the successful model in Regent Park, the program aims to significantly reduce the high school drop out rate and increase the chances of local youth completing post-secondary education.

Youth in the program may participate from grade 9 – 12, throughout their entire high school experience.

Diabetes Education Centre

The Diabetes Education Centre at New Heights has been providing services to clients with diabetes since 2002. Our registered nurses and registered dietitians offer free, high quality diabetes education. We are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
