Is this list a load of sh*t? We hope not - after all, we did poll a few dozen industry figures to assemble it. Still, if you're incandescent with rage that your boss is not in it, hurl your spite at the comments box below...

How could you omit all of the people who brought JAMDAT to this world?

Why do you keep a DRM company like CoreMedia on the list...? / Steve

I believe Are Traasdahl CEO of Thumbplay deserves a spot on your list...his achievements speaks for themselves
“Non-Mobile Companies?”

This list is really quite old... What does, for example, a company like CoreMedia do in the field of MOBILE today? Last year they presented themselves as the key player for mobile TV - now all there folks have left the company. Go CastLabs! Only DRM left!? Too bad, it was a pleasant company to do business with a few years ago!!! Please remove for next year's list - rather add CastLabs!!! / Steve

Likely the most dynamic market in the world, USA.
As soon as you list one label, or one carrier, one media company, one OEM, you need to mention the rest. Universal was never a leader in this space, facebook has not been aggressive in mobile at all, and to nominate anyone at the Director level is an absolute joke as this is an industry that has been around for quite some time.

Germany rocks... Not in the Eurovision Song Contest, nor in the line-up of technology companies either- what do you have? Your are way behind! /J.D.

The list starts looking like the IOC, it has become a lifetime appointment for the "guys once in". You really should change the intransparent election process.

I think Hossein Yassaie, CEO of Imagination Technologies Ltd., deserves a mention. Under his leadership IMG has achieved defacto market dominance on graphics acceleration for mobile devices. That is taking the top 16 spots on the GLBenchmarks for mobile devices.

For my taste the list is only partially reflecting folks who masterminded disruptive trends in the mobile industry.
Brain Lent, from Medio
Dan Olschwnag, Jumptab --> where is their industry impact based on what they have achieved so far other than collecting investor money. their busines model is neither disrupttve nor sustainable.
Willms Buhse, Coremedia --> DRM was and is more an obstacle than a breakthrough specifically for music.
Just compare their disruptive impact to the stuff Yahoo served up under the manangement of Marco Borries. Or what Andy Rubin has achieves with the dAnger Sidekick and is preparing with Android. This people are worlds apart in terms of their industry impact.
Also the T-Mobile folks who initiated the tear down of mobile operator walled garden portals with their web'n'walk bringing Google search and the open internet to millions of csutomers are worth mentioning.
Another guy which needs to be on the list is Jon S. von Tetzchner, CEO opera. Opera enabled tens of millions of handsets to browse the open internet especially with their opera mini product.

personally I would rather see something related to innovation than an industry crossover / long hauler list... I know a fair few people on this list and would never stop them from receiving recognition for thier achievements. I just dont see how its relevant, this industry is about predicting and shaping the future.... recognise some of the people that are doing that please.

Before even seeing this list i could have probably guessed half the names, not so much for their status or contributions to the industry (which in a lot of cases are siginificant) but rather because they are part of the ME old boys network. The list needs to be a bit more subjective than the people who buy the most pints as the boozer in soho (i am obviously not talking about all of the neames on the list, just mainly those from the smaller companies.

Not to mention Marc Carr, CEO of Mobile Data Group who is the brand behind the brand. Mobile Data Group recently won the Deloittes Fast 50 in Austalia and fast 500 Asia Pacific launching themselves from obscurity (being the name behind the name in content provision) to being the prolific leaders of the Apac region in the mobile entertainment provision space. Certainly worth a mention I think.

I want to know why the list has not included proponents of mobile who are outside of the industry, one of these would be Barrak Obamha who is using large amounts of mobile marketing to boost his campaign.
I also recomend Jason Dizzell
