2003 Champion Grace ParkThe inaugural Michelob Light Open at Kingsmill showcased 99 of the top 100 LPGA players, competing for their share of the $1.6 million dollar purse. The tournament featured 6 total hours of live television coverage on ESPN/espn2, Friday-Sunday.

On the final hole of regulation play, Grace Park sank an eighteen-foot putt and ended any thoughts of a four-way play-off with Karrie Webb, Lorena Ochoa and Cristie Kerr. Park not only captured the inaugural Michelob Light Open trophy but also the winner's share, $240,000. Sunday's exciting final round capped a tremendous week of ladies professional golf on the banks of the James River.
