No. 149 Squadron

Nickname: Sea Wolf

Formed as a Torpedo Bomber Squadron at Patricia Bay, British Columbia on October 26, 1942. The squadron was the only home unit to be equipped with the Bristol Beaufort to meet the Japanese naval threat from the Aleutians. When the Japanese naval withdrew in the summber of 1943, the squadron was redesignated Bomber Reconnaissance, re-equipped with Ventura aircraft and employed on West Coast anti-submarine duty until disbanded at Terrace, British Columbia on March 15, 1944.
