CHINA TOUR 2006 ::: Antidote in NANJING
Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at Castle Bar, 6 Zhongyang Road, Nanjing. 9pm-late.

* The Antidote went to Nanjing for the first time. Super thanks to Joey (pics below) and Map Magazine, and Hachille, Cecilia, Qing, and Nanjing Music Radio!
* This was the first (and last) gig of our 2006 China tour. We got good media coverage, including a full-page write-up in Nanjing's Map Magazine, and a full hour interview on the nationally respected Nanjing Music Radio. They played our own productions, by MHP, B6, AMNJK. As we cruised down Nanjing's main downtown boulevard on the way to the party, we heard our songs coming out of all the taxi radios. (This is totally unusual for an independent act in China! It may be a first.) The radio announcer translated our name into Chinese as "Anti" + "dote" and called us "Against Motherly Love" like we're some heavy metal bad. LOL! (for the record, we love our moms, and they love us). Despite the media attention, this gig was on a Wednesday night, and we barely covered our expenses from the proceeds. China tour delayed.
