Dynamite signs high-scoring Handsor

The Denver Dynamite of the Professional Arena Soccer League has signed Major Indoor Soccer League veteran Chris Handsor.

The 2008-09 indoor soccer season will be Handsor's 13th season as a pro. Last season with the California Cougars, he registered 11 goals and 13 assists in 15 games before being injured. Handsor scored a career-high 36 goals and 26 assists in 42 games as a member of the Philadelphia Kixx in 2001-02.

In all, he has appeared in 319 professional games, totaling 222 goals and 173 assists.

Handsor started his professional indoor soccer career with the Cleveland Crunch of the National Professional Soccer League in 1995-96, when he won his first pro championship. He was a member of the Kixx's championship season in 2002-03 and was named MVP of the MISL championship series. Handsor won a third championship as a member of the MISL's Baltimore Blast the following season.

The PASL is a new indoor league whose inaugural season kicks off Oct. 25. The Dynamite opens Nov. 1 in Calgary then returns home to host Detroit on Nov. 15 at the Denver Sports Center.

The PASL consists of eight U.S.-based teams plus teams in Canada and Mexico. The San Diego Sockers and a yet-to-be-named team in Utah have been added for the 2009-10 season.

Season tickets are available at denverdynamitesoccer.com, with packages ranging from $75 to $175. Single-game tickets are available for $10, $15, $20 and $25.
