• The Australian striker has been outstanding since joining from Motherwell in June 2007.
• At the end of his debut season at the club, Scott was crowned Scotland’s leading goalscorer with 31 goals from 52 appearances, including 25 league goals.
• Scott is also the first Celtic player to net 20 league goals in a season since John Hartson hit 25 in 2004/05.
• This season he became the club's new number seven, switching to the talismanic shirt number after starting his Celtic career as number 27.
• Scott scored total of 45 goals in 127 appearances for Motherwell.
• He scored his first ever career hat-trick in Celtic’s 3-0 victory over Dundee United in September 2007 and then netted another hat-trick against his former club a month later.
• A lifelong Celtic fan whose parents are both Scottish, Scott has also won eight caps for Australia.
• In March 2008 he was named Australian FourFourTwo magazine's Overseas Player of the Year.
• He was also one of the four nominees for the SPFA Player of the Year Award in 2007/08, along with Barry Robson, Carlos Cuellar and eventual winner Aiden McGeady.
