The Johns Hopkins Infectious Disease Center for Viral Hepatitis

Welcome to the Center for Viral Hepatitis, in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

We combine interests in the epidemiology, host genetics, host immune response, viral pathogenesis, and viral evolution to discover new ways to understand, treat, and prevent viral hepatitis infections and their complications.  Our major focus is on hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections, with and without coinfection by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
