3D Sister
R.I.P.
Unfortunately, due to her inability to find a free hosting service, Denise Lee has decided to abandon her site. Following is the original entry, where you will find notes about where else to look for Denise's work:

Temporarily down while they move to a new host. It says here they expect to move some time in the next two weeks. Meanwhile, visit their forum on EZBoard. (Heed our regular caution about EZBoard. Don't give them an email address you want to keep unless you want to be buried in spam for the rest of your life. Set up an address on Hotmail first.)

Characters and objects from Denise Lee. Her selection includes heads with cat-eye glasses and clothing sets for skinny and fat characters as well as fit. Denise's work also has appeared at SimStructure, Sim Sisters, and Livin Around the Sims.

7 Deadly Sims

Livin' Luna
One of the best! Cleverly organized in categories of the Seven Deadly Sins. Lots of new objects with more added continuously. Lots of unique skins. Some heads.

Caddy says, "I found my backpack here! Actually I pilfered it from Lara Croft."

Pasiphae says, "Hey Adam! When are you going to make the Moon Sims this cool?"
8th Deadly Sim

Livin' Luna
New site from Ken "elToro" Thieme and Chad "Claw" Authier of the 7 Deadly Sims. The 8th Deadly Sim opened on September 3, 2001 as a pay site, charging $3.50 per 30 days of access. The new site has more mature content than 7DS, and does not accept subscribers under the age of 18. Parental controls are provided so that kids can access things intended for a general audience.

They intend to continue to maintain and update the 7 Deadly Sims web as a free site, counting on revenues from the 8th Deadly Sim to pay the bills, so this is a convenient way for fans of 7 Deadly Sims to donate to the site.

Pasiphae says, "I've added my Livin' Luna badge for the 8th Deadly Sim because most of the furniture in the Strip Club and Love Bed sets fit the mold for things made in Luna City from locally produced materials. Leather is a by-product of the meat industry, and the trim for most of the Love Bed Set furniture looks like metal. Those burlwood veneers aren't really Livin' Luna, though; even in the year 2102 we will be importing decorative wood from Earth at incredibly high costs.

Carla says, "Some of the clothing reminds me of Luna City nightclubs, too. That is, the private clubs we like to visit like The Wreck at Raffles Hotel; definitely not the rather tame tourist spots at the Luna City Hotel!"

Accents Accents is all about skins. Clothing only; no heads. Currently has several types of skins for adult men and women, and place-holders for children. Notes presented on the site tell you the body type and credit the source, and also tell you where the models' heads came from. Opened in August 2002. Hosted on Fate Back.

All For Sims

SimsHost
After being forced off line for a while because of bandwidth problems, All For Sims reopened on January 20, 2003 on SimsHost. Nay and Claire heralded their reopening with a huge update including lots of furniture sets, skins, faces, rugs, and art.

Here you will find things in every category -- skins for all your sims, furniture sets, rugs, paintings. Paintings are presented in collections, andfeature artwork by Monet and Constable, the Moulin Rouge collection, waterfalls, and landscapes. Nay accepts requests for modifications to the skins; click on the "Design-a-Skin" link to go to form where you can complete your request. Nice collection of tradition rugs to warm your home. All for Sims moved to a new domain in mid-April. The pop-up ads are history. So is the Java navigation.

24 Apr 04: A cybersquatter stole the domain name, but you can still access All For Sims via its IP address. We updated our link; please update yours.

25 Apr 04: Updated the URL again because allforsims.simshost.com started working! :)

This is one of more than sixty great Sims sites hosted by SimsHost. You'll want to subscribe to SimsHost so you can download the goodies. Fortunately, it won't cost you much to subscribe and in addition to getting access to dozens of the greatest sites on the net, when you subscribe to SimsHost you are doing your part to keep all of the great Sims sites on line!

Turn on Java before visiting or the site won't work. There are several pages of objects. The site seems to load slowly, but apparently this is because the Java application loads all the images for the entire catalog when you first visit the Objects section. We got the site to work with MSIE, but didn't have any luck with Netscape. Apparently the webmaster of the site gave up on supporting Netscape.

The clothing racks are filled with women's styles with a French designer flair and some fresh women's faces. The building section offers coordinated walls and floors with some unique motifs. Staffing and hosting changes lead simsmaster Sandy to abandon the Livin' Around the Sims site in place and reopen under her original name, Around the Sims.

Artistic Habitats

SimsHost

Livin' Luna
The huge collection of downloads at Artistic Habitats emphasizes and eye for detail and accessorizing goodies for your sims. They have things for every room of the house along with walls and floors to go with them. There is quite a collection of Southwestern-themed items and enough rustic furniture to outfit several hunting lodges.

Among the unique features of this site you will find collections of duck decoys and doors with stained glass windows. There are swag curtains to match several types of decor and paintings of down-home country scenes. Decorative items (see "Festive" on the menu) include crates of fruits and vegetables and some more very fancy window treatments.

Don't miss the Downtown section, where you will find the Artistic Avenue Boutique and downtown appurtenances in several colors.

Pasiphae says, "Artistic Habitats is also the home of Lunar Habitats, a subject near and dear to my heart! I'll tell you more about Lunar Habitats on page 5!"

Caddy says, "I had some difficulty navigating with the pull-down menu because I was using a machine with a smaller screen. I can get where I'm going, but I can't always see where I'm going before I get there."

Blueprint Blueprint is a Windows program that lets you create objects for The Sims game. You will need a 3D modeling program and some considerable expertise to use it. The web site also includes specifications for the key file formats used in The Sims. Hosted by SimFreaks.

Update: Blueprint, along with all of Bil Simser's other utilities for The Sims, is currently being ported to MacOS. Beta testing starts soon. So Mac users, stay tuned.

Caddy says, "Even if you don't create objects or run Windows, you will enjoy reading this site. Fasten the seat belt on your desk chair before you read the software license agreement in the 'Overview' section!

"Hey, Bil! We're still waiting for the Macintosh edition of your utilities! I want it! I want it! I want it!"

Bodywarp Bodywarp is a Windows-only utility by Keith "Spanki" Young that displays heads and skins on their meshes. It also can scale parts of the meshes, but we found its greatest utility to be in its ability to export UVMaps. (See Carla's tutorial on how to make skins for more about UVMaps.)

The original Bodywarp site is closed; however, the program is still available at The Sims Resource (page 14) and also The Sims Hangout (page 14).

Carla says, "Hey, shouldn't hoop skirts count as Livin' Luna? At least that big cage would keep your skirt down when you're descending a ramp!"

Pasiphae says, "Nah. The hoop skirts are pretty, but I'm holding out for when there's something in the Future category."

Caddy says, "I just can't abide by frames."
Boutika Sims Boutika Sims is a clothing boutique that offers clothes for adult females in all categories. Some skins include custom meshes. Also has a collection of heads and some walls. We are getting buried in spam, so we are giving up on posting an email address for updates to the Moon Sims Links List. Instead of sending email to us, please let us know about new sites by posting a note in the Moon Sims Yahoo group.
