Research Area:

Labour Market/ Vulnerable Workers

Increasingly, the new labour market is characterized by highly educated "knowledge workers," whose skills are in great demand. But not all workers are in a position to capture the benefits of a strong economy. A large part of the labour force still works for low pay and with poor prospects of improving their conditions of work.

Large numbers of workers, in other words, might be regarded as "vulnerable." CPRN has been undertaking research to identify the vulnerable workers and to determine what can be done to assist them.
