Policy Statements
The NCJA's policy statements address major interests and concerns of
the organization's membership on contemporary crime and criminal justice
issues, such as crimes and violence, prison crowding, juvenile
delinquency, and crime victim and witness assistance.
The term state, as used in these policy statements, includes the
District of Columbia; the territories of American Samoa, Guam, and the
U.S. Virgin Islands; and the commonwealths of the Northern Mariana
Islands and Puerto Rico.
