Meet the fearless flyers of the Vulture Squadron. They have only one goal, that is to stop Yankee Doodle Pigeon from delivering secret messages. Encouraged by their leader, the despicable Dick Dastardly, these brave men persevere in their mission. With the assistance of the funny talking engineer Klunk they are able to employ the most unlikely flying machines. Amongst them, Muttley is the first one to come into action while on duty in order to gain another medal. Most of the time, this decoration is given to him by Dick Dastardly, in honour of saving him from another plane crash. Unlike Muttley, Zilly always tries to back out of the impossible pigeon-related operations. Fortunately, Muttley is always capable of fetching scary cat Zilly, and putting him back where he belongs. Supervised by the general, who never fails to call Dick Dastardly in the middle of screwing things up, the Vulture Squadron has won its spurs in the history book of mission unaccomplished.

In 1968 Hanna-Barbara planned a new cartoon show that is now known as 'Dastardly and Muttley in their flying machines'. It worked out to be the spin-off of 'The Wacky Races', a show in which Dastardly and Muttley already performed as a successful team.

From September 1969 to March 1970 the show was broadcast for the first time by CBS in the USA. The show consisted of three parts, one about catching the pigeon (#34), one about Muttley dreaming to be magnificent - The Magnificent Muttley (#17) -, and one containing small jokes - Wing Dings (#33).

Nowadays the show is regaining popularity in Europe because of it being broadcast every day on Cartoon Network Europe.

	2. Follow That Feather Fully aware of the gravity of the situation, Dick Dastardly and his proud men try to eliminate the pigeon with a feather seeking homing missile.
	3. Operation Anvil Klunk is sure his new invention, a flying anvil, will work. Dick Dastardly is flattered - or should I say flattened - by the idea of finally getting Yankee Doodle Pigeon.
DOWNLOAD VIDEO	4. Fur Out Furlough The General will reward the one who stops Yankee Doodle Pigeon with a 30-day furlough with all expences payed.
	5. Sky Hi-IQ The General sends an efficiency expert in order to shape up the Vulture Squadron. Having analised the results of an attitude test, he recommends Muttley to take command of the squadron.
	6. Sappy Birthday Muttley wants a day off because it's his birthday. Dastardly reminds him the birthday party cannot be held until after they stop the pigeon.
	7. A Plain Shortage Of Planes The Vulture Squadron has run out of planes. The General calls to tell there's no more money to by new ones. Dick Dastardly decides to buy a wreck so he'll still be able to catch Yankee Doodle Pigeon.
	8. Barnstormers Having screwed up another mission a save landing in a barn would be all they'd need. The country woman Hilda thinks her Prince Charming Zilly has fallen out of the sky. She won't let him go.
	9. Shape Up Or Ship Out Yankee Doodle Pigeon now flies bravely across open water carrying top secret messages to ships at sea. The General transfers the Vulture Squadron to sea duty on board a flat deck ferry boat.	DOWNLOAD VIDEO
