For a moment I thought I was seeing things. But when I paid a close attention to Hug by ~darin3200 I realized I was sane after all. My congratulations for the captured decisive moment and optical illusion!

Starry Night by ~turp is a vector portrait that stands out from all the rest. Only the full view can explain the detail that went into this work.

Watching The Kids Play by =Arsiema. Like the Peoples Republic of China (not to be confused with greater China, like Hong Kong or Taiwan...and my Taiwanese friends will kill me for even mentioning Taiwan as part of "greater China" LOL), the window on life that is street photography is now closed on the United Arab Emirates. No longer can street photographers there share slices of their daily life in the UAE with the rest of us here at dA. And thus another government steals opportunities for understanding.

What Spies Do by ~MsCellanea is a story about kids who have to spy on their dad to keep him from straying off his diet. The suggester appreciates the "solid characters and brisk story telling -- carefully balanced between not bogging down readers with too many details, and being too stark." The writer makes excellent use of repetition, producing a strong, moving story.

Young Love- needle felted isn't your ordinary custom dolls. Unique with great craftmanship and personality, ~FeltAlive uses a barbed needle to sculpt wool into felted characters with heart and soul.

Decidedly amorous and all the more intimidating, Cinderella by ~bagger043 is a fascinating exploration of what associations can be made through intricate arrangement of form. That the imagery entails characters so well known definitely serves as a wowing touch.

Despite the slightly incorrect title (it's a vexel, a VEXEL!), jolie vector by ~casual-funky-monkey is classy, sensual and technically superbly done. Great job!

Azurewrath by ~Ikaami has completely transformed this landscape into a soulful and timeless scenery. The suggester says: "Striking landscape, incredibly realistic, yet with a powerful fantasy atmosphere that simply stuns the viewer. The blending is perfect, even taking care of the highlights on the towers and doing photo realistic blurring of the foreground."

Always Waiting by *MPhilipPhotography is one of those portraits that will stay with you for a long time. The success of an emotional portrait is defined by how well it gets the message across and I think that with this particular one you can actually feel the heartbreak. To quote the artist.... everyone has a love story...

Mechameleon Front View by =iFeelNoSorrow is a very detailed model which I feel like I could reach out and touch.

When I was suggested HEARTS : Wonderful Night by =pinkx2 I turned to mush because of how adorable it is! The colors used work so well for such an adorable piece, like the guy in the back's hair makes me thing of sherbet. Of course the huge ice cream cone help with this feeling. There is just so much to love about this piece!

Kashmir's Dream by =ThePatchwork I always try to find the best images that haven't been seen or noticed by the photography community here on DA, photographers whose work is outstanding yet somehow aren't noticed. Let me introduce ya all to one heck of a great shooter, and this photograph represents his gallery very nicely! When I first saw this, I thought to myself "what the......10 fav's and 3 comments...why on earth!......." and yet here I am giving it a DD, and I honestly feel this shot deserves the recognition it will get. I find this utterly beautiful, it has such a serenity, a tranquility about it, that one could practically meditate on the photo to become more relaxed. I can almost literally feel the atmosphere in this....this conveys so much and captures nature at it's very best and does a HECK of a job at doing so!

Rusting Pipes by *Kaeltyk shows us great texture through low quality rendering, some thing that I think is an awesome idea! Sometimes it's not always about the texture that you put into the image, but the texture the program creates when it renders the image. Along with the great colors and fantastic composition, the texture makes this a fantastic Xenodream piece!

There's something about the crayon-drawn looking stitches, the birds-nest hair and the model's crazed expression in Corpse Bride XII by ~lunaticisinmyhead that makes me think of The People Under The Stairs. Insanity at it's best!

la poire et le moucheron - fin by =edredon shows a very broad range of depth available to a photographer. Angles, light, and objects can transform even the most basic of life's properties. This is a photograph to be lost in, even if it's just a pear.

The construction in Phantasm by ~schellstudio is unique. The structure is humanoid but features like the thinness in the arms differentiates it from being human (not of course taking the face structure and design into account). The detail to the texture like the skin and musculature is incredibly realistic from the glassy look of the eyes to the slight damp look of the skin.
