Forward deployment of Pak Air Force planes detected
NDTV Correspondent
Wednesday, December 24, 2008, (New Delhi)
Amid growing tension between India and Pakistan and President Asif Ali Zardari's statement that his country was capable of thwarting an attack from the East, there has been a forward movement by the Pakistani Air Force.
For the second consecutive day, the Pakistan Air Force has been flying its fighter aircraft over its main cities - apparently, a sign of increased military preparedness across the border.
The move comes at a time when India has categorically stated that war can't be a solution to the ongoing crisis between the two countries.
According to sources:
Pakistan has deployed its aircraft on frontline bases
Pakistan has flown fighter jets over Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi
India sees this as an attempt to raise temperatures in the subcontinent and deflect from the real issue - how Pakistan deals with the issue of terrorists operating from its soil
This is being seen as a step to showcase Pakistan's air defence preparedness
India's Western Air Command has in any case been on alert
On the heightened activity, a top official of the Border Security Force (BSF) said they were prepared for any eventuality.
"The BSF is on full alert," said UK Bansal, Additional Director General, BSF, Barmer.

Pakistanis are stupid morons. Their ministers speech and their show off reminds me of Al-Sahaf the Iraqi info minister during Iraq invasion :) who is famous of his big mouth and how he ran away when attacked.

In case conventional war breaks out from the other side, the first top most priority for our Armed Forces is to stop the Indus river water flowing to Pakistan, come what may and what the international community & Amnesty (Am nasty) International might say with full throttle. As a further step, divert the river towards our mainland permanently, so that, Pakistan would have its natural, slow & painful death. In addition, our Navy should bombard Pakistan's entire coastline and its harbors & ports, including the newly Chinese built Gwadar Port with such devastating blows by whatever means possible so that Pakistan would never ever be able to even repair it in future. Lastly, our Air Force should go for carpet bombing throughout the length & breadth of Pakistan with Cluster Bombs with nuclear munitions of very powerful capacity capable of vaporizing anything in its vicinity. These measures, though seem extremely harsh, would put the last nails to Pakistan's coffin. All these should happen in parallel in a well coordinated multi-targeted attack with full force in a day or two. Though we might lose one or two cities by possible nuclear strikes, Pakistan must cease to exist on world map forever. As far as internal security in border areas, all para-military forces at our disposal should be equipped with latest weapons thru a crash course on using them & be given blanket powers to eliminate, with license to kill, all insurgents from our Eastern & North-Eastern borders (who would try to cash in on the opportunity) mercilessly without waiting for orders from higher ups. Pakistan truly deserves this kind of punishment for its so-called 1000 years jihad against India.
