Get ready for the 24th National Counted Cross Stitch Show June 6-15, 2008 situated inside lovely Rockome Gardens in Arcola, Illinois.

This year’s show theme is “Life Is a Stitch” and our Stitcher’s Challenge is Life Moments.  The competition continues to offer a dazzling display of cross stitch and counted thread competition from simple to complex and challenging stitch techniques. Please consider entering the competition with one or more of your pieces.  For those nervous about having your work judged, we still have the display only category.  New this year is a "Viewers’ Choice" award. Voting for this will be from Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8 with the ribbons going up on the winning pieces Monday, June 9.

There’s a great lineup of classes for you to choose from.  Taking classes in Rockome’s relaxed atmosphere is easy and fun.  Check out the class descriptions and sign up for the chance to get some one-on-one teaching time from some of the top teachers in the cross stitch industry.  Here’s your chance to learn new techniques and take your stitching to another level.  Some classes will be offered more than once to help out with your scheduling. These repeats are noted with the class descriptions.  Be sure to indicate the correct class number and date when you are signing up for your classes.

Spend some time with us at Rockome viewing the competition, taking classes, shopping with the vendors, enjoying the peaceful beauty of the gardens, and exploring Arcola and  the surrounding communities and the Amish countryside. We’ve planned some fun activities including a scavenger hunt for patterns for a band sampler. Just ask at the information desk in the convention center.   There’s much to discover at the National Counted Cross Stitch Show this year. We look forward to seeing you there.
