sacredism

Sacred-ism?

Sacredism? I have always been fascinated with the connection between faith and art. ‘Sacred’ never meant much to me till I heard a message by Ravi Zacharias. In his message Ravi condemned the comparison of the struggles endured by black slaves as being equal to homosexual intolerance; Ravi pointed out that the color of one’s skin was sacred, while one’s sexual choices were adult preferences - not innate. This inspired one of my st. Mars’ quotes, “to consume is natural, to create is sacred.”
I believe the arts are sacred. We are created in the image of God, thus we create. Art separates us from the rest of created life. Art is a proof of our origin! Even the vilest sinner artist is creating because God gifted him with the ability to. Art can be a bridge to the lost; through art we can speak the same language.

A couple of years ago, I started a Flickr group for Christian artist: Sacred Art: http://www.flickr.com/groups/337292@N20/

Ross' Epic Year://

ApostlesHeart.org

EpicYear.com has is evolving into ApostlesHeart.org. The Lord has been helping me envision His call on my life. 2008 was an ‘epic’ year; the Lord has since helped me to see that ‘epic’ is referring to the nature of my ministry, and to the atmosphere of our future Epic Meetings ( http://epicmeetings.com ).

I do not claim to be a modern-day ‘Apostle’. I do proclaim to do whatever it takes to see believers embrace their callings and to see them avail themselves to the Spirit’s gifting. My vision is to help activate the ‘functional’ body of Christ through unity, and open and equal participation of believers through their callings and spiritual gifts. As the Body ‘functionally’ gathers, the glorious image of Jesus will be displayed in power, and will be a sign to unbelievers ( spiritual-attractional ).

East Texas, prepare yourselves for a mighty revival!
